This is an original Trip Thru Hell Album on Candy Floss by the C.A. Quintet™
It is in Mint condition and the cover is still in the original shrink wrapThere is no reserve... this record will go to someone
I don't think this record ever has been played. It may have been... but again, I don't think so. Over the 44 years that I stored these records, and moved around, some of the original shrink wrap on some of them just opened. This is one of them. In the early years I had no idea about collecting records etc. But, I was always very careful with the storage of these records . This one, as were the others, was stored individually, vertically and at room temp in a smoke free (tobacco that is) environment.
History
This is one of the 25 original albums which I kept for myself back in 1968. Over the years I gave almost all of them away.
I did sell a couple of them. Interestingly enough around 1975 (before I learned of interest in the album), I got a call from a guy that said he wanted to buy an album from me if I had any and said he was willing to pay $150. I told him that if he wanted it that badly, I would just give him one. But he insisted that he pay me for it. So, I let him give me $50. I dropped the record off at his house and as I drove away I could hear him playing it already on the turntable.
I am having a milestone birthday this month and selling this record is part of my continuing quest to “empty my shelves” before I go.
As I have mentioned in previous listings, I want these things to go to people that want then as opposed to having them end up in the trash or a garage sale.
So, I will give things away or list them on e-Bay until my shelves are bare. I don't enjoy the work involved with the creation of the listings and the packing. But, it is worth it to see these things going to people that want them and I am having a lot of fun communicating with all of you who love music.
On a final note, I have been busy scanning, recording and organizing all the materials and things related to the C.A. Quintet. My hope is that I will be able to compile and produce a DVD before I go that will contain everything you would ever want to know about the C.A. Quintet. It will include some unreleased material and acoustic demos of songs never recorded in the studio...... and even some video clips.
I am not sure how to notify anyone interested in the DVD when it becomes available. At this point in time, the only way I know to do this is... if you are interested, send me an email through our caquintet.com web site. I will create a mailing list. And when and if I get the project completed, I will let you know how to obtain one. I will try to keep them very affordable.... I don't need the money.. but it is kind of a fun project and this should answer once and for all the many questions I have been asked over the years.
